A public service company, GRTgaz builds, maintains and develops the natural gas transmission network over the greater part of France. It contributes to the stability of the gas system, on which the supply of natural gas to consumers depends :
• industrial users directly connected to the transmission network ;
• private individuals, local authorities and businesses served by the public distribution networks, themselves supplied by the transmission network.
With more than 32,000 km of buried pipes, GRTgaz transports its customers’ gas under the best conditions of safety, cost and reliability while preserving the activity of the regions, landscapes and biodiversity.
An actor of the energy transition, GRTgaz is engaged with the regions in developing new uses for gas and the emergence of future sectors (conversions in industry to biomethane, fuel gas, Power to Gas etc).

Hydrothermal Gasification is a virtuous technology for almost completely treating and recovering wet organic waste using the water vector as the reaction medium.
It makes it possible to produce synthetic methane that can be injected into the network and to recover water and metals as well as nitrogen and mineral salts (phosphorus, potassium, etc.) that can be transformed into fertilizer products.
This conference will present the state of the art of its development in Europe and the prospects for its forthcoming industrialization in France.
