Venna von Lepel has a background in business consulting and strategic communication and has been working at Novocarbo since 2019. She is the CCO of Novocarbo and responsible for the carbon removal business unit, as well as the communication department.
Her interest in and knowledge of PyCCS is rooted in the fact that she is also a trained farmer and has been an active user of biochar since 2013. Her hobby and knowledge have thus developed into a professional fascination and passion for the impact of this technical CDR.

As the supply of biochar is rapidly growing, the search for new markets where the carbon is preserved over the long term has intensified. This panel will include presentations from academics and industry experts covering traditional and evolving applications for biochar including soil use in agriculture, remediation and urban uses as well as non-soil uses such as water filtration and use as a filler in building materials and other composites, serving a range of industries.
