Christian BIDART
Scientist
Fraunhofer IMM

Christian Bidart, graduate in Civil Chemical Engineering at Concepción University, Chile, obtained a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering at the same university with a thesis on critical transitions of complex mixtures of hydrocarbons. Subsequently, he received a doctoral degree at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in Germany, in the field of technology assessment & system analysis, specifically assessing the production and utilisation of renewable methane.

His main research interests are the thermodynamic and economic modelling of chemical processes and the evaluation of emerging technologies, specifically for fuel reforming, catalytic methanation of carbon dioxide and synthesis of e-fuels. Currently, he works as an associate researcher at the Energy Division at Fraunhofer IMM in Mainz, Germany.
