Biomass Controls provides decentralized rapid nutrient recovery and treatment for green resources including, manure, textiles, food and excreta into biochar. Biomass Controls patents are based on protecting the environment and returning nutrients to the soil. Our Biogenic Refinery provides thermochemical treatment of high moisture materials such as manures, human excreta, agriculture residues and food waste. Our services provide Design, Technology Adoption Support, and Impact Measurement.
Biomass Controls PBC was founded in 2015 in Connecticut as part of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Re-Invented Toilet Challenge. In 2018 we were chosen to participate in the Toilet Board Coalition Accelerator program for our refineries installed in India. In 2019 we were chosen to participate in the Manure Challenge Accelerator program based on our work for hog and dairy cow manure processing.
