Surya Guduru is a commercial scale-up and strategy executive with over 20 years of experience at the intersection of energy transition, industrial technology, and venture creation. He currently leads Business Development and Strategy at Emvolon, where he is responsible for capital formation, joint-venture structuring, and global market entry for modular, decentralized production of low-carbon methanol and chemicals from waste and stranded gases. At Emvolon, Surya has driven first-of-a-kind projects from lab to field, structured strategic partnerships, secured long-term offtake agreements, and helped transition the company from pilot deployment to commercial scale.
Prior to Emvolon, Surya held senior leadership roles at INNIO (formerly GE), where he led strategy, pricing, and digital product commercialization across global power and energy markets, delivering sustained growth and scaling enterprise-grade clean-technology solutions. Earlier in his career, he managed large-scale energy infrastructure projects across Asia, the Middle East, and Europe, and founded a bootstrapped cleantech venture focused on methane utilization.
Surya holds an MBA from Singapore Management University and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the National University of Singapore. He actively mentors climate-tech startups and focuses on translating industrial decarbonization technologies into bankable, scalable businesses.
