BIO360 AFRICA 2026 - Intervenants - Abdelaziz BAÇAOUI

Prof. Abdelaziz Baçaoui is a professor at Cadi Ayyad University, Faculty of Sciences Semlalia, Marrakech, and an affiliated professor at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P). His research focuses on biochar, sustainable materials and biomass valorisation, with applications in regenerative agriculture, wastewater treatment and low‑carbon building materials. He is coordinating the emerging Center for Research and Expertise on Biochar and Low‑Carbon Systems (CREB‑UCA), which federates laboratories across water, soils, materials and life‑cycle assessment, and develops MRV and carbon credit approaches adapted to African contexts.
