Taanashe Simon Gahadza is a chemical practitioner and independent consultant specializing in biofuels, surfactant chemistry, and industrial chemical process development. He is known for his practical work in converting waste oils and fats into value-added products, particularly biodiesel and specialty chemical intermediates used in detergents and lubricants. Born on 4 June 1999, Gahadza developed a strong interest in applied chemistry and industrial processes, focusing on practical chemical solutions that can be implemented in small-scale and industrial environments. His work often centers on waste valorization, where low-value or discarded materials such as used cooking oil, acid oils, and expired margarine are converted into commercially useful products. Professionally, Gahadza has worked in chemical production and laboratory research, where he has been involved in: Biodiesel synthesis via transesterification Demulsification of waste fats and oils Recovery and purification of glycerol Surfactant and emulsifier development Reprocessing and quality analysis of industrial oils He has also contributed to process troubleshooting and formulation development, helping chemical operations improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize product quality.
